Every year, I tend to go overboard with gingerbread baking for Christmas, creating increasingly imaginative and intricate structures. I design my own blueprints for these constructions, often using Adobe Illustrator to create the drawings. I then print out the templates and cut them out. I frequently push the boundaries of what is possible with gingerbread dough, baking curved cookies and constructing spherical formations like the hot air balloon and diving helmet.
